Future Makers
After a year of such hardship, discourse and upheaval, AT&T wanted to offer a powerful acknowledgment of Black people who are shaping the future now.
Future Makers _ Our idea sprung from the insight that far too many Black people are honored after they are gone. We must celebrate those who are making history today, by following their dreams and shaping the future for the betterment of others. We created video content for social and broadcast, multiple social events and activations, regional retail, a Black Future Maker contest, and a microsite where visitors could canonize themselves, generating their own living portrait to share via social. With the help of LeBron James and Grammy nominated musical artist Chief Wakil, we paid tribute to everyday Future Makers, honoring the common man and woman, by giving them their flowers, now.
AT&T Dream In Black Program _ We recognized and celebrated 28 Black Future Makers - Black influencers, creators, and shapers of culture and community. Some of the recipients were LeBron James, Abby Phillip, Channing Dungey, D-Nice, Kwame Anku, Angelica Ross and Tamika Mallory.
AT&T Flagship Retail Display _ Takeovers at flagship stores in SF, Chicago and Dallas allow consumers to experience the program first hand, and with the portrait generator, create their own living portraits to share via #Dreaminblack.
